stretching upward

i joined this beauty and turned my face toward the sun…

it looked like this lovely one was about to take flight… stretching its petals as wings

like an emerald lava river

moms gathering for afternoon tea and socializing

while the babies snoozed safely in the nursery nearby…

a sun shining face perches cheerfully on the patio…

while a weathered heart sparkles with resilience…

… more sketching practice…hooray for art time!

if you have times when you grab on to thoughts of self doubt… times when you convince yourself something seems impossible… times when you have made space for thoughts that tell you all the effort, practice and training in the world won’t make any difference, keep this in mind…

Speaking of flowers…I get a thrill from watching fields of sunflowers that, literally, follow the sun as it traverses the sky.

    It blows me away.

    OH JOANNE,
I LOVE the flowers here, always stretching upward to the sunlight.
Living in the North, my skin craves this sunshine just like the flowers do.
And now that I see an elephant painting, I have no doubt that my music will be heard someday.
Thank you for this confidence boost.
    LOVE, JG
