grandma’s gold cross

a time for giving…a time for sharing…a time for creating…a time for remembering…a time for slowing down…

this gold cross belonged to my grandmother…my mom was going to buy a new chain for it…over the weekend i beaded this for her instead…

with a full heart i linger inside the sweet memories of my grandma and holidays and baking and loving and laughing and being…

i am sure your mother must love it so very much, how meaningful to have this piece of your grandma & you to wear around her neck. it’s beautiful.

i woke up thinking about my grandma this morning, how much i miss her and would love to have her here, even just for an afternoon visit. already she has been gone for over half of my life… but there are times when i feel her here with me.

i wish i could share some snow with you… how strange it must look to people that haven’t had in their lives for months and months at a time. there is something so magical about a snowfall, the world just seems more silent, more peaceful somehow… but rain can be like that, too… calming everything down and making it shimmer.

    have a beautiful day.
